Lost un son bolumunde 1.5 saniyelik bir konusma sonrasinda hissettiklerimi kagida dokme ve duygularimi ifade etme zorunda oldugumu hissettim. Col e dusen asker gorunumdeki bir elemanin karsina, iki tane atli gerilla cikiyor. Elinde kalasnikof silahlarla kendi aralarinda bir dille konusuyorlar ama tabiki bizim elemana silahlari dogrultunca iletisim kurmaya calisiyor farkli dillerde.. ” Do you speak English?” su dili biliyormusun bunu biliyormusun, ardindan ” Turk-ce bi-li yormusun ?” sorusunu yoneltiyor… Karsisindakiler esmer, pestemalli, at ustunde, ellerinde, savas etigine uymadigi icin uluslararasi platformlarda banlanan, 5 metreden ateslendiginde kol kopartabilecek guce sahip silahlar… Boyle bariz belirgin ayirici sifatlari varken, bizim elemanin kalkip Turkce biliyormusun diye sormasinin altinda gondermeler aramanin komplocu bir yaklasim olacagini dusunenler olabilir. Lakin sadece bu sahnenin etkisiyle olmasa da genel olarak kanaatimin ifade etmede fayda olacagi dusuncesindeyim.

Later on, I was surprised to see a chapter of the book that I borrowed from the library -long time ago- that is about the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis. I quickly read it to learn about the interesting details. Here, I’m not going to give a brief explanation of the whole story but try to elaborate on the case with the actors, in my words. (more…)
Trying a new outfit, reminds me of an academician. Easy and fun to wear. It also has an ‘age lifting’ effect of +5 years compared to a t-shirt with a surfer and a sun picture on it.
